What you are joining

An early, working version of Tallystick, free during beta. You get the real product; we get your honest reactions to it. Reply to your invite email with anything that confused you or fell short. That feedback is the point of the beta.

What beta means

Features will change without notice and rough edges are expected. Backups are limited right now, so a technical failure could lose saved data. Enter trial data, or real data you could stand to lose. When the product moves to a paid or supported footing, beta accounts get told first.

THE BETA PRODUCT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GARY M. ROSS COMMUNICATIONS LLC D/B/A INSIDE COMMS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GARY M. ROSS COMMUNICATIONS LLC D/B/A INSIDE COMMS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA. THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF GARY M. ROSS COMMUNICATIONS LLC D/B/A INSIDE COMMS FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00). NOTHING IN THIS SECTION SHALL EXCLUDE LIABILITY FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY ILLINOIS LAW.

Where your data goes

The flow is short. What you type goes from your browser to the application, hosted by Vercel, and is saved in a database run by Supabase. When you ask for an AI estimate, the inputs for that estimate go to Anthropic, our AI provider, and the response comes back and is stored with your measurement. Supabase keeps your saved data for as long as your account exists. Vercel does not store what you save; it runs the application and keeps ordinary server logs. Anthropic deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days and by default does not train models on them. Nobody else gets your data, and no model is trained on it.

Biometric data

You agree not to upload any biometric identifiers or biometric information (as defined by 740 ILCS 14/10) to the Beta Product. Gary M. Ross Communications LLC d/b/a INSIDE COMMS does not intentionally collect biometric data. If you provide such data notwithstanding this prohibition, you hereby provide a written release for Gary M. Ross Communications LLC d/b/a INSIDE COMMS and its vendors to process and store such data solely for the purpose of providing the Beta Product, subject to deletion promptly upon discovery.

Governing law and venue

This Agreement shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to this Agreement or the Beta Product shall be instituted exclusively in the state courts located in Lake County, Illinois, or the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division. Each party irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts in any such suit, action, or proceeding.

What we ask

Keep your invite code private. Enter role-level numbers, not confidential documents or personal details about other people. Remember that every number the product produces is a structured estimate for decision support, not an audited financial figure, and present it that way.

How it ends

You can leave the beta at any time by emailing us to close your account. We can end the beta or your access at any time with notice by email. Either way, you can ask for your data to be deleted and we will clear it from the live database right away. Copies already sent to Anthropic for past estimates leave their systems within 30 days, on their deletion schedule rather than ours.
